Shanghai ThinkTech and TÜV Rheinland cooperate to launch ISO26262 and ASPICE certification

Shanghai ThinkTech Information Technology Co., Ltd. (“Shanghai ThinkTech”) signed a contract with TÜV Rheinland, an international third-party testing, inspection and certification organization, and officially launched ISO26262 and ASPICE certification. Shanghai ThinkTech will work closely with TÜV Rheinland to establish a product development process that meets functional safety standards and a software development process that meets ASPICE certification under the professional and rigorous technical services and guidance provided by TÜV Rheinland. This would help the company to provide advanced and excellent products to meet the expectations of major OEMs and Tier1s at home and abroad.

ISO26262 is a globally recognized standard for automotive functional safety. The standard covers the entire life cycle of the product, including functional safety management, concept phase development, system phase development, hardware phase development, software phase development, support process, safety analysis, and product release, etc.
;ASIL (Automotive Safety Integration Level) is a classification system based on the ISO26262 standard. There are four levels A, B, C, and D. The higher the level, the stricter the development process.
The full name of ASPICE is "Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capacity Determination", which is a model framework used by the automotive industry to evaluate the level of R&D capabilities of software development teams. It was originally formulated by more than 20 major European automakers and was released in 2005. The purpose is to guide the software development process of auto parts R&D manufacturers, thereby improving the quality of in-vehicle software.
TÜV Rheinland is one of the first international third-party certification organizations to carry out functional safety business in China, and has also participated in the formulation of ISO 26262 as a member of the editorial board.
